  1. Read the Black Swan! Fascinating. Shows that finance is one the professions that is expert free because the market is impossible to predict. Economics is the same way. The book is part philosophy, part advice on risk.

    1. Hi Steve,

Thanks for the comment. It's funny that you mentioned the book. One of the articles I "make" (or recommend) to read before they are taking on the stock market is "Blowing Up" by Malcolm Gladwell. The article is about Nassim Nicholas Taleb, the author of the Black Swan. Here is the article: http://www.gladwell.com/2002/2002_04_29_a_blowingup.htm

Basically my strategy is all about risks, not about a company's potential earnings and potentials. You had a chance to look at the model a few months ago. Leah decided to use it and found it very successful.

    2. Cool. I figured you would like it. Once I get my first real coaching gig I will more than likely invest. The problem is, in order to invest, you need money to begin with. I also recommend The Drunkards Walk. Even if you have read it, I would encourage others to read it.

    3. Steve, I totally hear you.... in order to invest, people need to save first. Unfortunately, not many people save.... I also understand my strategy requires a bit more up-front $$$. In that case, I think that the dividend income strategy with the covered call option is a way to increase your portfolio value until you have enough money to do my strategy.
